Suppressors Surefire SOCOM 556-RC and 762-RC

Re: Surefire SOCOM 556-RC and 762-RC

I'm planning on doing what you described above, but on a Noveske 14.5" barrel.

My understanding is the SF brake will add ~2.15" to the muzzle. So you'd be 16.65" with a perm attached (pinned and welded) SF RC brake on a 14.5" barrel.

My understanding is the brake already has a spot where this could be pinned to a barrel. I think it's a "starter" mark of some type.

All that said, I don't have either part in hand just yet

Chucky, I was asking about the 762K being able to upgrade the mounting system of the SOCOM, because I have a change to buy that can now for a smoking price (I work for a dealer) and was curious to see if it would be worth spending the money on that one and the upgrade the attachment system later.

Marcus,

You cannot change a 762K to a SOCOM. They are completely diferent

The 762 SOCOM brakes in 5/8-24 have already started shipping but I could not tell you who has them in stock.

How about barrel overlap? I am looking at getting a socom rc for a 12" lmt cqb piston, but am not sure I can with the gas block. Anyone have experience with that platform?
