Worse than that...it is a Cobb that has been "Bushmastered!"

Seriously, these rifles had more than their fair share of issues before the BM buy-out of Cobb roughly 5 years or so ago. I don't know what, if anything, BM has done to deal with the problems with the platform, but there are a HOST of other options out there that will likely better serve you in the long run, such as the Spider/Ferret 50 as one example if you are wanting a AR/bolt on upper setup.

With that said, to my knowledge, the "upper" on these rifles has never been commercially available on their own...only sold as COMPLETE rifles/carbines.

Re: BushMaster .50 BMG

Thanks guys.... FINALLY... I got through to Bushmaster today...

And as many of you said.. They will ONLY sell the COMPLETE rifle. Ohh well... there went that idea.

Re: BushMaster .50 BMG

I believe the HTI is around 20LBS and from what I have heard the muzzle break works great and is much nicer to shoot than some single shot 50s that weigh 15 lbs more.

I hope to get behind one soon.
