Got a new CZ 455 heavy barrel a few weeks ago. I had been wanting an accurate 22lr bolt gun without making my checkbook cry. Local dealer turned me onto the CZ line, and the rest is history.
Added a Grim Reaper Tactical 10moa scope mount, had barrel turned for suppressor (cuz yeah, 22lr needs a suppressor. That and my wife said it was cool, but she wanted a suppressor for her 22 also.) He was out of barrel thread protectors, so an A2 flash hider went on...because a 22lr needs a flash hider!
The scope mount he makes is different in that he machines the receiver to accept mounting bolts. The rail is bolted directly to the receiver, not just with set screws.
While he was at it, he also turned me out a cool bolt knob.
Topping it off is a PST 4-16 SFP mrad scope. Pretty bitchin set up.
Only thing I am waiting on now is my Manners stock and thread protector, then I will be trying my hand at digital camo!
I find the CZ to be a well put together rifle. Trigger is good for a factory trigger. It has been adjusted and has very little creep. Wood is some of the best I have seen on a rifle in a while. That said, I am going with a Manners.
Using American Eagle ammo, shoots nickle size 15 round groups at 50 yards. Really loves Wolf Extra match.
