I need a little help from some of you 1911 guys. I just bought my first 1911 a Sig Scorpion 5in bbl. I've owned and shot around a dozen pistols in all calibers, but I'm having trouble out of the gate here with something I've never seen.
I took it right to the range, loaded up the two mags, eight rounds each of some Hornady 230 gr +P Tap FPD, and it went bang then click.
In 20 rounds of 230gr Tap and 40 of Winchester 230gr FMJ range ammo, I had 5 stoppages, all of them identical to the two pictures below. Both are two live rounds jamming together, the fired round has been ejected before the jam occurres.
Pictures below (one with TAP one with the rage ammo). Some were mid magazine, both mags jammed the same.
I really want to like this gun, can someone enlighten me here. Thanks!
