Hey guys I just got a premier 5-25x and there is a subtle black spec in the upper right of the glass. It rotates up and out of sight at the 11x zoom...?

Don't know if this is normal and supposed to be there...

Just thought I'd ask here before I called premier and got the run arround...

Any info would be great... Thanks guys!!!

Why would you assume that you will get the run around?

Is it "normal"?
Not so much.

Is it unusual?
Not so much.

It happens.
Sounds like a piece of the coating from the inside of the tube.
Folks usually try banging the scope on a padded surface or THICK phonebook.

The hope is that it dislodges and sticks to the lube inside the tube.

Of course it's normal, those are called mil-specs. Where do you think the term comes from?
