I shot for the first time yesterday at 1000 and had a blast. Ive got a 700pss in 300wm bedded and trigger job. ive got a load worked up in 190 smk and 220 smk, and while both did well it seems alot of people like the 208 amax. so im thinking of doing a load work up. thanks for the info.

Can't beat the 208 $ wise. I used the g1 bc of .648 and it was spot on. I got 1k of them for 330$ from brunos
i liked the smk's both in 190 and 220, but tested just a few of the amax bullets and seemed to get better accuracy. I think for the cost and accuracy i would be worth it for me to switch. now I will just need to do a load work up for them.
the first pic is my first 1000 yard group using fgmm 190 grain, the second is using 200 accubonds and the third group is using 220 smk's. I was pretty stoked for my first ever outing at 1000 yards.

I would go with the H1000 for the 208's or you can try the Retumbo powder. I liked what both powders did with the 208's in Win cases. I am going to try the RSW cases now and see what happens.
