I searched, I swear I did. I have a 12 twist 308 barrel and need a place to start on a sub load. I loaded a couple 180's and they keyholed. I think I might have to go down to 168's. Anybody have a turnkey sub load? I will be using trailboss at about 3000 ft. elevation. Thanks a bunch.

Interesting I thought since the 180's keyholed I would have to use a lighter bullet through a long twist. I have a bunch of 208's and 210's, I will try a heavier bullet a see if it works. Thanks.

Im looking for some good loads for the 30-06 too, sierra 165gr with 50.9 grs of imr4350 gives me good accuracy at 100yds. Looking for dome loads for the 100grs.

.308 win & subsonic & 12-Twist .
Were the 180's you were using HPBT's or pointed or round soft-points ?
Also if your using 12-twist & HPBT's you need to go down in weight like 168 or 150's . HPBT's are to ass end heavy with the hollow point cavity & long length .
round nose or pointed soft-points are going to be a WAY lot more stable on the bullet spin-RPM & not key-hole with the slower 12-twist . plus they have more bearing surface on the bore than the HPBT match bullets.

Sierra 150gr sbt with 53.6grs imr 4350
Sierra 165gr sbt with 50.9grs imr 4350...both give me good accuracy but the 150s are a tighter group, im shooting a Ruger M77 with a Shilen #7HV and a 1:12 twist
