26" long and chambered in .308, O.D. at the muzzle is 7/8".
Looks like it used to be threaded and has a British proof mark on the chamber end,
it's cut to fit a Saiga.
Appears that whoever did the barrel work also created the custom steel gas block.
Twist is approx 1-11.5

Been to the Saiga forum, The AK Forum, and the Highroad with pics but no luck on ID so far.

appreciate any leads,

Sorry, didn't get notification of your response. Not sure what you mean by "email saiga"(?)

Re: Barrel ID help needed

Aha!! I recognize that barrel right off the bat. I have built several guns using these barrels. I bought 13 of these barrels from sarco about ten years ago. These are Ex-Parker Hale m82 Cadet barrels and are cold hammer forged 1/12 twist barrels and deliver outstanding accuracy, I have one I chambered in 300 win mag that shoots sub moa. I Have also rethreaded one to fit an smle and converted it to 308. Also installed one on a french mas and also built a mauser and rechambered it to 30-284. Excellent barrels. Been thinking about making an ar-10 barrel out of one. The 2 holes in the front were used to hold a globe type sight, here are some pics of the enfield I built using these barrels. Sorry my camera blows!!

Re: Barrel ID help needed

Typo, it is an 84 not 82. Your barrel exhibits british proof marks and the crown that is on it is the original crown, the builder fluted it, looks nice, you have a very nice saiga I am jealous!!

Re: Barrel ID help needed

Again, never got an email, sorry for not responding way back when. I'll have to check my email settings.

Interesting, do you have better pics of your Enfield yet?
