I received a new Savage 10 PC the end November to compliment a SAS Arbiter Ti that I have in que. Looked good out of the box, so I took her home. Get home and do a full takedown to clean her up and such and notice that there are a few threads on one side of the muzzle that are in the white (oh no...) and look wrong. Turn the thread protector around and run it down.....and it won't go past the narfed threads (other end is counterbored).....oh shit. Then I notice there is a gouge in the mating surface between the receiver and the recoil lug that must've happened pre-finish....goddammit!

Long story short, I call Savage, they issue a call tag, I write up a description of the issues and send her off....

Three weeks go by and I look at the calendar, and think I won't be seeing my rifle until 2013....(fuck!) Come home from work and there she is......wait...it's not my flawed rifle....it's a BRAND NEW RIFLE!!!

Just wanted to tell the story and pass it along since Savage did the right thing. More than not forums tend to be bitch houses for lousy customer service and raw dealings (most often resulting from grandiose and unrealistic expectations). I am as happy as a guy can be!!!

Thank you Team Savage!

Re: Savage Customer Service

I have never had to deal with anything like that from Savage, but I do love their customer service standards. Much unlike some others that I have had to deal with.

I absolutely love my Savage!!

Re: Savage Customer Service

i heard a guy say his Savage in a HS Precision stock was in his car on a hot day and the foam in the stock reactivated. the guy quickly called HS precision and they said that it was not covered because they know the foam reactivates at that temperature and do not consider it to be a defect. the guy called savage and explained the situation and they sent him a new stock.

that story actually kept me from purchasing a stock i saw on ebay for my wifes stevens 200 build. not that any of my weapons are subjected to that kind of heat on a regular bases. but here in texas it does get hot which means in my parked car it has potential to get hotter.

from what i can tell savage has amazing C.S.

Same reports here
One of my shooting Buds had some issue with his Savage 110 BA, he called Savage Customer Services. He is now a happy customer; kudos for Savage and for the good people working for this company.
Good shooting.

Took them more than three months to replace my 110 fcp, after they found out the barrel was bent from the factory... That was after multiple complaint calls! Hopefully it was an isolated incident, but it has been my only expirence w/ the cs and it was lacking to say the least.

I had good luck with them. Swapped out the factory plastic stock on my MK II with a tacticool. I called up Savage and only mentioned I just bought a tacticool and without asking they already had all the parts I needed up on the computer and had them sent my way same day.
