208 amax or 215 Berger with r22 should get it done. I like h1000 but r22 shoots better in my rifles.

This past fall I switched from the 210 Berger VLD to the 215 Berger Hybrid. Both over H-1000. The long range accuracy of the 215 is something every 300 Win guy should look at if he is going extreme long range.

208 amax 77.0gr H1000 (76.5gr out of current lot), win brass, FGMM215m, 2970ish out of TRG42. ES/SD in single digits.

also trying to scrounge up some 225gr hpbt or 215 hybrids for a little more junk in the trunk to no avail.
Broz' experience and relayed success has spurred me on there.

Pushing Amax 208's with 75-gr of H1000 out of a Schneider P5 barrel 26" long. Velocity is 2870-fps. And they work good for me out to 1500-meters or 1640-yards, which is the furthest i've tried. That's at 7250-ft ASL

I've got a AI PRS inbound now. I am thinking 208 Amax's. Any thoughts for guys with AI's on what loads etc work well in them? I also have 210 vld's on hand but no 215's

Do not overlook the Hornady 225 bullet. Its G7 is actually 0.351 which is higher than advertised and works amazing for long range. It pretty much is identical to the 208 AMAX under 1000-1200 but beyond that it takes over.

In my DTA SRS I'm currently shooting 208 amax over 72gr RL-22 at 2900 fps, Remington brass, SD of 9. I will be trying H-1000 with the same bullet soon. I get 3/8 moa accuracy with it - popped a clay pigeon with my 2nd shot on the berm behind the 1k targets. The first shot was 2 inches low left. This load also printed 3 rounds on top of each other on the 1000 yard steel target I was confirming dope with.

I'm running the 208gr A-max with H4831sc in my 300wsm at about 2870fps. I shoot it at 1750 yards often and I have shot that combo out to 2163 yards on steel with a pretty good hit ratio. Knocked my elk down this passed season at 517 yards with it also. It often groups less than .5" at 100 yards for 5 shots.
I know that doesn't help much but I am really impressed with the Hornady 208gr.
I'm running the 208gr A-max with H4831sc in my 300wsm at about 2870fps. I shoot it at 1750 yards often and I have shot that combo out to 2163 yards on steel with a pretty good hit ratio. I'm new to the reloading but am trying to find a good load for my 300 win with a Krieger 1-10 twist 26inch barrel wanting a load for accuracy but carrying enough energy to knock a elk down at a distance I noticed Doug had lots good to say about the 208 amax just wondering what powder you are using and optimal velocity you guys are finding keeps a tight group at long range

My 208 A Max load was H-1000 @ 2950fps. A lot of others have had good luck with that combo as well.

G7 is the ballistic coefficient that most closely matches boat-tailed projectiles. The G1 is the regular standard and is for flat-based bullets. In the end the differences are small. IIRC less than 1 moa difference in data at distance as long as the BC itseklf is accurate.

74.5 Retumbo , 230 Berger (.719 bought the wrong freaking kind) Rp brass at 3.712 oal ( yes I know, it's like a cheap date, very long throat) with a 30" broughton 5c 1:10
2865 fps .3 moa at 120. Just made the load today

Just bought a bunch of 208s from a Hide member, Looking forward to trying them in the newly built 300wm.
