So a year and a half later I finally got the money and time together since joining the Corps to finish my rifle.

It started out as a stock Remington 700 5r 308 10th Anniversary Edition. Badger rings and base topped with a Leupold Mark 4 ER/T M5 FFP 6.5-20x50mm

-Rad Tac bottom metal
-Badger knob
-Bolt fluted by Karl Kampfeld
-Timney 510 trigger at 2.5lbs
-Barrel cut to 20" and an APA little bastard installed and turned down to match the profile of the barrel.
-Badger EFR NV mount bedded in stock
-Action bedded to the stock as well
-Everything coated in graphite black cerakote and the stock with an eggshell finish enamel

Gotta give my friend Ozzie all the credit for doing a perfect job on the smith work and for going out of his way to help me out.

Unfortunately I only had 2 days to shoot it on leave but she does pretty well so far with factory Federal Gold Medal Match.

I know the rifle shoots better than me so I can't wait to really some some time behind her to see what she will do with a little more practice.

looks good man, how do you like it at 20"? i got the 5R myself, thinking about cuting it back abit, and slapping a silencer on it.

Love the 20" barrel, shoots great, it's handy and still can take me to 1000 yards. Plus the brake threads off by hand when I finally get around to picking up a suppressor.
