A San Antonio off-duty police officer and CCW holder is to receive an another award next week for her actions preventing another mass shooting that happened back on December 16, 2012. I just heard about this, gee what surprise, and wasn't sure to post it here vs. S2 Intel section. Even locally only ONE news media covered it.

On December 16, 2012, an off-duty police officer/county deputy, shot a gunman who had already shot & killed his girlfriend in a Chinese resturant and followed fleeing restaurant customers into a theater to try to kill more people. The four rounds this off-duty officer put in him prevented any further loss of life in what would have played out to be yet another "public"/theatre shooting...oh the mass tragedy didn't quite happen though because there was a GOOD person with a gun to stop the BAD person with a gun...

This officer is being honored with an award next week...
Yes, I just heard about this too... this is a perfect example why there should be no "gun-free zones" for criminals...
