Is this the right bushing?

New to the bushing dies. I have a 6.5 creedmor and bought the hornady match series bushing die set. I measured the neck of a loaded round at .289. I wanted to buy several different size bushings but the only one that they had in stock that was applicable was .286. Do you think this bushing will be alright?? Again, gonna get some more once in stock just need input now.... Thanks

By the instructions, you'd want .287. I think .286 would be OK. I can't see how ".001" extra will kill ya. I do know ".001" over. say .288, bullets will seat way too easy.
Not sure how they will shoot though, will let you know next time I go out. I did it.

For my 6 creedmoor I found that a 270 bushing for a 272 loaded round works best, If it were me id buy the 286 and 287 bushing.

That's what I got. Also found and ordered .288 and .290 bc I measured some of my loads again and I got .291. so I'll have 3 bushings to tinker with and find what is best. Thanks for your suggestion. Really appreciate it
