At minimum, I shoot 75 Amax in the 8 twist. I prefer the 77SMK and the Berger 80 VLD in them. The Berger is my bullet for out to 1000 yards with the 8 twist. My powder is currently AA2520 but working on developing a LR load for 2000MR powder. I will not pass along the charge weights as both are well above what is listed in published data.

Best accuracy for 80 VLD came from 2000MR but AA2520 is still the best if you want to go longer (1000 yards). I get just over 100 FPS (2855 v. 2980) more with AA2520 than 2000MR and that can make a lot of difference. These numbers are from a 1 in 8 Krieger at 26".

My go to load for 1:8 twist target shooting is 75bthp hornady, 24.3 varget, LC/Rem/PMC brass, and CCI reg primer @ 2.25max COAL
