Re: question for you guys making a living at this.....
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I once called the regional center for help in determining <span style="font-weight: bold">whether or not I could legally offer load development w/o an ammunition manufacturer's license.</span> The agent on the phone told me that I could not even legally possess ammunition components. She punctuated it with telling me that I could only possess black powder. I could tell by her tone that she was about to push the big red button that summons the black helicopters and MP5 carrying ninja squad. I politely told her that when they leave to arrest me they should also stop at every major outdoor sporting goods store between MN and Sturgis because Cabellas and Scheels are clearly plotting to take over the earth.</div></div>
That's too funny. ;-)
Not knowing any better at the time, I applied and paid for the ammunition manufacturing license along with my 07 and the inspector told me in no uncertain terms that that was completely redundant, made me rework the application, refunded my money and wouldn't allow me to apply for both?
And based on this it makes perfect sense?

Q: May a person licensed as a manufacturer of firearms also manufacture ammunition?
Yes. The person may also manufacture ammunition (not including destructive device ammunition or armor piercing ammunition) without obtaining a separate license as a manufacturer of ammunition.
Q: Is a person who reloads ammunition required to be licensed as a manufacturer?
Yes, if the person engages in the business of selling or distributing reloads for the purpose of livelihood and profit. No, if the person reloads only for personal use.
