Rifle Scopes Is this trade worth it?

Im getting a Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50 as a gift (yes a screaming gift and it would be brand new in box), and I already have a leupold MK4 10x scope with mil dot and M1 turrets ( sent it in to leupold to get the M3 turrets changed to M1 and a brand new reticle put in)

I'm thinking of trading it for a S&B 5-25x56 PMII scope.

The MK4 is not being used for anything right now, it would be going on an OBR and shared between the OBR and a 308 bolt.

Do you think it's an even trade? Or is one of use getting a better deal?

I'm confused... what exactly is the trade?

Both for a PMII or just the leupy for the PMII?

Also what is the condition of the 10x and the PMII?

If you get an S&B 5-25 for a Razor and 10X Leupy you're doing a little better than the other guy. Not much, but better. This statement assumes mil/mil S&B.

yeah its both for the S&B

I might include a set of leupy rings for the the MK4, no rings for the vortex.

Leupy is pretty much brand new shape. Has light ring marks from being on an M24, but no scratches dings, otherwise a safe queen type.

Vortex is on its way to me form vortex, so its obviously brand new, never mounted and wont even be taken out of box.

S&B would be mounted, fired about 100 rounds on an SR-25, looks brand new as well, very light ring marks. No dings or scratches.

Like said above if the PMII is MIL/MIL you are coming out a bit ahead, but in all honesty if you need 2 scopes I would keep what you got and save up if you want a S&B. If you dont really need 2 I'd make the trade.

I would do the trade and put the S&B in a Larue QD mount. Just swap between rifles at that point and have a great scope instead of two good ones.

i would trade for sure. use the s&b on both, then i would save up for a mid range scope for your obr (hdmr, swfa ffp, vortex pst)

I agree with axeltow, i am taking a sawrski 10 power off a barret 50 BMg to a QD one piece mount for 223 and purchasing an S&B PM II for the barrett, multiple use scenario
