Gunsmithing trg22 trigger on a tikka t3?

Is it possible to install a trg22 trigger on a t3? I am not found of the current tikka trigger and replaced it with a jard. The jard is lighter,crisper with zero overtravel. The problem with the jard is it has a large amount of travel, the sear engagement is reduced to just being safe. What are typical first and second stage pull weights of the trg?

don't know about TRG- think is a spring change and drop it in.

maybe consider a CG trigger?

Yes the trg trigger bolts right up to a tikka... But not with out a few tweaks. Biggest is the trg trigger shoe is to big for the tikka trigger guard so different bottom metal is needed. I am not sure what ones work other than krg. I put a washer between my bottom metal and stock and used a longer bolt also had to use the precision hand mill (aka dremel) to open the hole for the trigger in the on all sides in the bottom metal. Redneck and looks like shit but it will get me through until my W3 gets here. Second is the bottom safety does not work as work either but the tikka top safety is a simple parts swap.

It is currently in a xlr, my smith could mill the trigger shoe slot in the stock bigger. What can 2nd stage pull weight be set at?

I am not sure of the weights. I have mine where it feels good but have never put a scale to it. I know I you try to make them too light they will lock up. Since yours is in a xlr I have no idea as far as fitment.

Does the tikka trigger bolt/screw work or does a different one need to be used

Same bolt...I think. I didn't have to buy any new parts except the stock screw. So it is either the TRG trigger screw or the Tikka trigger screw. Oh and all the screws are metric so use the correct wrenches.

It'll bolt right up, the mounting bolt is captured on the TRG trigger and fit's perfectly. The safety works perfectly.

You will have to make sure everything on the stock is clearanced properly. I only have experience with the Whiskey 3 chassis, and it is GTG. I have done 4 of them now with no problems.
