I have been wanting one of these for a long time and really want an SBR version with a suppressor. The problem is I am not sure how much longer I will be able to obtain one of these things legally. I figured if I bought everything today and Put in the paperwork that it would be 6 months to 1 year before I got either the gun or the suppressor. So that got me thinking, I could always get the long barrel version and have it cut down later on which would allow me to to ahead and get the rifle today or I could go ahead and get the pistol which I believe is the same as the rifle except it does not have a folding stock and only have to worry about the paperwork when I add the stock. Which would you do and why? My local dealer has 10 of these for $2695 which I think is a little high. I told him I could get these all day long for around $1800 online and he said he would be willing to deal but I don't know how much he would be willing to deal. Does anyone think that is high? And yes before anyone tells me anything I realize this is pretty much ineffective past 100 yards in which case people think its a crazy buy but it's for fun. Nor was the gun intended for long range purposes.

$7000 for that seems ridiculously high to me! I mean I may be wrong but I can get one of these for $1800, then $750 for the suppressor, and probably $400 for an eotech. All of that is less than $3000 buying it my way. So, yeah $7000 seems insanely high to me.

Would never buy one. Worked at a place that had a full auto rental and sold several semiauto to customers. Full auto never ran right and the problems we had with the semiauto KRISS CS was nonexistent.

That $7000 figure came from another member posting a link to one that was for sale. It was a complete package with the SBR Kriss, a suppressor, an armorers manual, a red dot, and 4 mags. That post has since been removed which I find weird. Anyways $7000 on that one he linked to seemed really expensive to me.

As far as the full auto thing goes I know someone that has shot 1000s of rounds through one with no problem. Now I do know their earlier models had some issues but that has supposedly been worked out. And then you mention yourself that the semi auto problems are nonexistent. I of course will not be able to buy a full auto version anyways so that point is out. We are talking about a semi auto SBR version.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

I was at a local gun show two weekends ago and there was a table that had the carbine version with one magazine for $2900.

It is an interesting piece of hardware, but I could never do take the plunge... Unless money wasn't an option, in which case, my contribution to this thread would be even less than it is now...

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Skog was talking about Kriss Customer Service (CS) for the semi-auto being nonexistent, not problems. Cool looking gun, totally pointless in semi-auto. I wouldn't want to pay more than 2400 for one, but with the gun market right now I am not sure you're going to find a new one for much less than what your local shop is selling it for.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

I too have heard these had issues, however a newer version is supposed to be released soon to remedy those issues. I would rather get a carbine kit for a glock and go that route.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Ah, my bad Skog. I misread your post. Maybe I should do some more research before dropping that kind of money on one. I already have 2 problem ARs I certainly do not need another gun with a problem.

I posted the link and after posting it saw about 3 posts later a member being admonished for posting a link to a sale on another site. Was hoping I'd managed to delete it before it had been read. The site was VaGunTrader.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

I had the carbine version, paid $1600 + tax for it at a local gun show. Its kind of a niche weapon. They are not accurate past 50 yards. I know they are suppose to be a close quarters weapon, but to me it made more sense to get a sbr ar for what youre paying. Mine never had any f2f. And I have fired the full auto version.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Kriss support was bad at best. There were lots of problems. Long repair times, not answering phones, not returning messages for status check. I will say the only good from their CS dept was they always paid shipping which is not the norm when sending a firearm back for repair.

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Ok, thanks guys. Can you think of any other weapon of this type that might be good. I am already building a SBR AR and have several others. I am looking for something different, but I want something fairly accurate and reliable! Maybe an FS2000 or P90?

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

I know where there's one at a LGS for $1500. It's the SBR version and I believe it is brand new. Give me a shout if you're in VA and want to know where.

I personally wouldn't buy one though, to me there's better things to spend the $$ on.

Thanks, but I am nowhere near VA. And by all means please share your opinion on how money could be better spent. I am open for suggestions.

How about a Tavor? I am just not looking for another AR.
