I'm building a rifle that utilizes 338 Norma brass necked down to 30 caliber with a 40 degree shoulder.

The dies Hornady is making me utilize a bushing for neck size.

I know how to measure a loaded round for this, but since I have no rounds necked down, where do I start?

I really can't help with bushing size, just wanted to say if you haven't purchased brass, 300 Norma brass may be easier.

I would make a dummy round by necking or partially necking down one of your brass. Its gonna take a large die , I know. Its that or guess. Could also talk to rifle builder about chamber dimensions and subtract at least .002. This should get you on track.
