I just got my first AR10. Can't believe I found one

I feel very lucky that I was able to find a Mega Maten Monolithic. Everything is hard to get right now and considering that the monolithic is no longer being made, I feel really lucky. I got it from Aztek Arms and I know there were some issues with them from a past group buy. Krieger barrell, Geissele trigger. $3500


And just today I got one of the Xproducts 50 round drums

That is a very nice rifle. The drum magazine is cool, pretty useless but still cool. So be proud, feel lucky, and go shoot the shit out of it.

Think of the magazine as a stabilizer weight that keeps the scope directly vertical from the barrel...

Very nice! The Mega Monolithic is by far my favorite upper. Wish I would have never sold the spare set I had. If I had known they were going to discontinue them I wouldn't have.

You are right, I don't need the riser. It came with the rifle so I decided to try it, but I shouldn't have as it is really unnecessary. I am going to change out the scope and will take off the riser when I do. The scope mount is Spuhr and I love it http://www.spuhr.com/Cantilever.html

The drum is surprisingly well built. Silly, but well built. It all aluminum with a high quality fit and finish. It feeds great, loads great and works great. Whether you love it or hate it, this youtube video is pretty darn fun to watch.

Haven't you guys heard the famous story of the "filthy 14"? The famous article that SWAT Magazine did on the rifle that went 28,905 rounds without being cleaned and was lubricated with SLIP 2000 EWL? I guess SLIP 2000 does look a little funny on the BCG but it sticks where you put it and keeps on lubricating.
