Cabela's just put Bushnell Fusion 10X42 LRF binoculars on sale at $699. This is about $50. less than the best price prior to this sale.

I have a pair and they have good glass and range very well, including the inclination/declination ballistic hold under feature and bullet drop hold.

darn it. Trying to decide between LRF or spotting scope. I have neither and was just wondering which to get first.... but this is a good deal.

You can actually find them online for less than that with alarming frequency if you shop around.
Skinney and I were spotting deer last weekend and I was ranging some pine trees at 1830 yds.
Beyond 1700 is pretty easy, even on nonreflective hill sides, but when the conditions are clear...1800 will pop up from time to time. 1830 was the farthest I've hit.

Where do you recommend me looking? I'm still trying to decide between LRF or spotting scope.

Cabelas has had that price for some time now... I bought ma pair in 12x50mm for a little over 6 I believe.. I'm very happy with them. The additional mag feels nice. It' a completely different experience than using a traditional range finder.

I'm sending you both a pm.

Does anyone have any points of comparison between these and the Leica CRF1600. I am really torn between wanting something that can do double duty with observation like the binos, and an ultra compact unit like the Leica. I honestly don't know which would be more useful for me personally, and don't really want to make a $600-800 mistake getting the wrong thing.

I have used the Leica quite a bit as one of my friends and shooting buddies has one. It is a great piece of kit. The only issue is that, with its size, the optics and magnification aren't great for me, and I have a hard time stabilizing in some conditions. I also don't feel it has any use as a monocular, but that is probably asking too much from it given its otherwise compact form.
