Overall length of a Remington 700 SPS AAC in an AICS Chassis?

I'm trying to pick out a case and wanted to know what length I need. The gun has 20" barrel, but I haven't ordered the AICS kit yet. My estimation is that the overall length will be ~40.5".

Was wondering if anyone had an exact measurement.

That's Good Info, I just picked up a 16" Threaded Barrel AAC-SD .308 today (Been Looking for a LOOOONG Time). Mine is going to end up either in a AICS 2.0 or a Manners Folder and make one Hell of a Compact Handy Package. Good Luck with yours!

Thanks again for the info. Tells me it'll fit in my old drag bag without needing the folding option. Been lurking here for a while...I just ordered a 308 AAC-SD and am planning to do an AICS stock, but not sure about the folding part yet (mainly because I shoot at home 99.9% of the time).
