Will a BCM gunfighter medium latch work on an Armalite ar-10A2?

I saw a thread not to long ago about a member who tried to swap out his stock armalite charging handle for a BCM gunfighter model. However, Upon inspection it looks like the metal was rubbing against the top of the upper receiver so it would not cycle and either needed to be Dremeled out or just plain wouldn't work. Does anyone on the board know if a BCM gunfighter medium latch model would work on an Aramalite AR 10 – A2 carbine model? Feedback would be great before I go spend cash.

I plan on calling BCM tomorrow and Armalite to see what they have to say. If the BCM doesn't work then I will start looking at the Rainier ambidextrous model. Not sure they make those for 7.62x51 though.

BCM is known for their customer service; both friendly and knowledgeable. I'm am sure that they have answered this question a lot of times. I can't. Good luck...

Seems that the MED will work but NOT the LG.

As for the Rainier/Apex Raptor charging handles...yes, they make one for the 7.62 size rifles and they work EXCEPTIONALLY WELL on the Armalite pattern rifles too. Here's a link:

While Rainier seems to be out of stock (link above), there are vendors that seem to have them available. Check the AR-10 EE subforum on BARFCOM...there are folks there selling them.

I have a Raptor on my Armalite and could not be happier.
