Picked up this FNAR the other day installed a Millett 4-16x56 scope.Shot it Saturday and groups nicely with 168 gr HPBT match ammnly plans are a brake and trigger job possibly by short action customs, and a bipod.
FN makes quality weapons. I have several FN bolt rifles, but I've not shot their semi-auto rifles. If it is as good as my bolt guns, then you'll be very pleased with it.
That is the strangest rifle I think I've ever handled... What made you go that direction? Was it the price point? FN builds a fantastic weapon but I never really "got" this particular rifle...
I had an ar10 and traded it and was wanting another semi auto 308. I always kept coming back to this rifle and my buddy owns a gun shop and called me saying he had one in.So I went and checked it out in person and was sold on it.
I've hunted with a BAR for a lot of years and it's dead-on accurate as I am sure the FNAR is, but it is one butt-ugly piece of work. I'd really like to shoot one though...

Congrats on digging up a thread in which the last post was made over 10 months ago to offer your opinion on the aesthetics of the FNAR, proving once again that beauty is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder!
