I am looking for a fixed LOP stock for my CQB rifle. I want a LOP of 12.5" and have been waiting for the Magpul MOE-Fixed Carbine Stock to come out but with all the trouble in CO, they other pressing priorities. My priorities are durability & functionality followed by storage compartments. I have shied away from adjustable stocks because the first thing people do is mess with the length when they pick up the rifle. I also have seen several break or collapse and severely pinch the operator's hand during malfunction or combat drills.

The ACE skeleton could be an option but not the SOCOM, somewhere I thought I saw a short A2 but cannot find it now. Any other stocks I should take a look at? Would consider an adjustable stock where the LOP can be fixed so people cannot mess with it and that have a proven record of durability. Maybe something like the Magpul UBR ?

A short A2 is a A1 stock. They use the same buffer tube spring and buffer but the A2 has a spacer as well as a longer screw that takes up the extra length. I have had A1 length stocks made by Vltor, Cav Arms and Magupuls is also A1 length.

BTW, you can fix the UBR pretty easiliy in any position, but I wouldn't recommend it. UBR is expensive and heavy if you are not planning on adjusting it at all.

I think you were looking at a Guardian Shorty: Butt Stock Assembly Group, Guardian Shorty w/Solid Plastic Butt Plate, New, Black

Thanks...the shorty may be a little short at 10.5" LOP, checking into the EFX to see what they say on LOP.

I've had a number of people PM me about the Magpul ACS stock, it's adjustable, anyone have any experience with them on durability?
