Great website, wish there was a faster way to digest all the information here. I've been doing a lot of research and reading, looking forward to learning more from the folks here, seems like a great community. Didn't realize I knew so little about long range marksmanship!

New Mexico is a great State with very good hunting, especially for elk and antelope. High mountains in some areas and desert in others. Plenty of room here to shoot way out past 1k if you want.

Thanks guys. I've been in NM since 1996 between Farmington and Albuquerque, and if there is one thing that is great about the state when it comes to shooting, it's the space...

PSYOPS, thanks for the invite. I'm in CA for business, and I may or may not be back by this Sunday, but would love to go out and get to know folks who are into long range rifle. I do have a rifle waiting for me at Score Hi that I need to sight in anyway...

Thanks for the link, I will check that out!

And I wish I was getting a custom rifle... I should have clarified - I brought him my Rem 700 SPS Varmint to mount a scope, bed the action, and give it a once over. Definitely a more budget friendly rifle than one of his customs.

I'd really like to practice at some closer ranges and get whatever range card information together that I can before doing a match, that's way too much pressure!
