Hi.

Been reading here on and off for a while so I figured its about time for me to register as well.

I live in the southern part of Sweden, with my girlfriend and my 16 month old son.

Needless to say, I picked up targetshooting as a hobby when I was a kid, started out in the local pistolclub when I was 14. Evolved into shooting clays when I was around 18 and thats where I spend most of my time on the range.
Got my hunters diploma about 4 years ago, naturally I have not been able to do as much hunting as I mite have liked since I became a dad, but that is quite alright.

Im currently "building", or maybe "dolling up" a Remington 700 Composite right now. That project kind of led me here and I have acquired quite alot of knowledge right here on the hide.

Anyhoo, see you on the board!

Dubbel post!

Damn, dont know what just happened!
I wrote a reply, added a picture (which turned out really small) and then posted. When I tried to edit the size of the picture the complete post seems to be deleted.
However.

My Remington 700 has the following spec:

Its in an Accuracy International AIAX chassie, has a Talley picatinny rail and it has the huge carbonfibre wrapped stainless steal barrel.
Its in 22-250 rem and I plan to use it for target shooting and varmint hunting.

As tax-return is on the horizon Im planning on purchasing the scope and mounting system. A Spuhr mount is a no brainer, I just need to get my head around which scope to get. If I keep it "economic" so to speak, ill get a Vortex PST.
If I go halfway, ill get a Nightforce NXS.
And if I splurge completely ill get a Vortex Razor HD, but that is a pretty tall stack of change...
Any suggestions on that?

If I know my history correctly I think that almost half of Swedens population emigrated to the US during that time. It was during a great depression and more than a few people here starved to death during those years. So alot of people sold everything they had and bought a ticket for the boats to cross the Atlantic ocean.

Sounds about right. I'm sure I have family back there and apparently our last name has become a bit infamous due to a mass shooting years ago

VegasJeepguy, Yeah, It was in the 90-ies sometime, I think the shooter was a sergeant in the Swedish military, he stole his issued weapon and killed some people.
Way more fun is that there is a Swedish infamous actor/musician who is called Thorsten Flink who is quite a character.
