Terry Cross is a great guy, so I recommend genuine Pod-Loc. Anybody know where I can buy a couple? They're out of stock everywhere that I looked.
I say get the 6-9. You can always get higher by sticking something like a pack under it but you can never get lower.
I had a 9-13 on a rifle and now have a 6-9.
The 9-13 was WAY too tall for me to use on a bench and a little to high on 9" when shooting prone. I'm sure it would be more useful on rough terrain, or if I was a bigger guy (as in like bigger in the belly).
I've always wondered why Harris or someone didn't make a 7-10 as it would probably be perfect.
6" on the 6-9 is completely unusable for me. The legs are always extended at least one notch.
As others have said, if you go the Harris route, make sure you get the swivel base and the notched legs. A pod-lock would also be a wise investment when buying the swivel base.
This place shows to have them in stock although I've never purchased anything from here.
