I got my can and sold my house today! Do I need to do anything legal-wise in this instance? I'm just moving out of county, but not state...though there is a small chance I may be moving out of state (to OH) as well eventually.

    Thanks in advance.

You'll need to fill out a transportation form. I moved to another city but within the county. Still had to send off the paperwork and have them approve the move. Had to put all the specs on the forms. They sent it back in a month or so. The F4's I have all still have my old address on them but this form showed they are approved to be at my new house.

Read the back of your approved Form 4. It states to notify the NFA Branch (BATFE) in writing of any address change in 2a of the form. That is all you have to do. No need to fill out any type of forms or get approval. This applies to in state or movement to another state.

This topic is very miss-understood and people confuse it with interstate movement. The only time approval is needed (just state to state) is when you temporarily move a MG, SBR, SBS or DD. Then you must file a form and get approval. Don't need to do this for cans as long as they are legal in that state to use. Any movement inside the state is ok and you don't have to do anything.

Thanks, I just saw that. Who would have thought to read the darn thing?!
