Anyone? I've been trying to contact a few dealers all week, but haven't been able to get in touch with anyone. Also, Obermeyer doesn't list an M24 profile on their website, but I see M24 profile Obermeyer barrels for sale. Is the M24 profile some generally accepted geometry?
Do not quote me on all this information but I recall "Boots" as the inventor of 5R rifling and I think he produces most if not all his barrels in that geometry and he calls his M24 contour AMU. I did not look any of this up but you can hit his websight and the info should be there.

The Russians were doing the canted lands, they were 4 groove, I believe. Boots took the shape, modified it a little, and made a 5 groove configuration.. The R in 5R stands for Russian
All of boots barrels are 5R except the big stuff like 20MM, etc
