That rocks Clint! We met briefly at the reception (I am the holster guy) - nice to see you honor your friend and his family.

If you want any handgun leather for the prize table, let me know.

I will be heading to New Mex. for the Scorehigh tactical match, BUT JC Steel Targets would be honored to throw some targets on the prize table.

And let me know what the final count on numbers is. We will give a 3x5 Diamond target to all who shoot, and all the RO's.

Side note, i get a call this morning from steve to sort something out with my order, he is literally the only dude that takes the time to call instead of email. This is why i buy so much of my gear from him.

Okay, I'm in. I just signed up, and got my confirmation email. This will be my first match. So far, none of the people I've met who shoot these matches are coming. However, I see that DIESELWSM is from the Tricities (I'm in Pasco) so I will likely recognize him. Anybody recommend a motel nearby? Thanks. Bob

Bob,

This will be a good match to get some experience on since we will have a little bit of everything (high angle, movers, positional, etc.). You will have a good time and this beats the hell out of shooting paper any time. I have managed to shoot every field match hosted so far in 2013 in the state of WA and I have never met anyone from tri cities who shoots the field matches...maybe we should convince them to come up :)

If you have any questions about the match feel free to send me a message and I will help you out as much as I can (cant spoil any of the stages so I wont be able to tell you everything haha)

We still have a few slots open. Again, we are setup to host those who want to compete with "hunting" rifles as opposed to precision field gear.

Thanks again for all the support and help in getting this match up and running.

Craig, no photos, a beautiful day, a great location, great course of fire, and all for a very worthy cause. My hat is of to Clint, Carl, Brent and all the other who volunteered their time to setup, and those who came out and ro'd. A great day of shooting, followed by a little pistol shooting, some barbecue and those up to the challenge, a little shooting at a mile, ( congratulations to Alex Taylor for his hits at that distance). The top three shooters were Sean, Jeremy and Marty, it was a great time with many staying late to mingle and talk.

The match was a great time and thank you to all those who contributed as helpers, ROs, and sponsors. Matt's father made it up to the match and mingled with quite a few shooters and we were glad to have him. Thank you to In Motion Targets, H&H Precision, and James Karstetter for sponsoring the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash prizes. A number of other sponsors contributed great prizes that the shooters devoured!!

Overall the match raised over $2000 for the scholarship of Matt's children. At times the wind proved difficult, especially those stages where wind 3 different canyons were in front of the targets.


Thanks again to all who participated!!! Next year we hope to include gas guns as well as this years bolt rifles and pistols.

Wish I could have made this one. Stuck out in the field training. Hopefully next year I will be able to make it. Any information on the courses of fire, thoughts on equipment, etc from the competitors?
