Got a new optic in the mail yesterday, and just got time to play with it tonight. I was reading the instructions about setting the zero so I thought I would practice. After tightening the set screws back down I can not move my elevation up or down, it is literally locked in place. What did I do wrong (or did it simply break) and how do I fix it?

Thanks for the help. The scope is a S&B 5-25x56 PMII LP MSR DT

Did the turret function normally prior to loosening/tightening the set screws? I can see how you could have seized the turret by re-tightening the set screws?? They only need to be lightly snugged, how hard did you turn them in?

If they are locking turrets you have to engage the lock to access the screws. You lifted the lock rings again right?

Not trying to be a douche by stating the obvious but its those obvious things I always miss.

In one response. The turrets were fine until I retightened them. I did it a couple times to play with zeroing the optic. after a couple of times, the turret simply wont turn. I did not over tighten them. The turrets are not the locking version. My turrets are the DT with the black and yellow color coding. Jerry I will talk to you in private via a PM to resolve the problem. Thanks.

Lock a Marine in a padded room with no windows with two steel ball bearings and he will lose one and break the other and not know what happened to either LOL ;)
