I am new to precision shooting, but am already hooked. I've started reloading and that has been a lot of fun. Up to this point, I've shot very accurate hunting rifles and I finally took the plunge to have a rifle built specifically for tactical shooting competitions.
I decided on a .260 because I enjoy reloading and that cartridge seems to be a little better for reloading than the Creedmore. I am going to have Brown Precision make the rifle. We are going back and forth right now on design. Thinking 13 pounds scoped heavy contour barrel. I like Schneider barrels on my hunting rifles and I really like Stiller actions.
I understand that most tactical guys prefer Surgeon. I would love to listen to thoughts from people who have used Stiller actions in tactical competitions. I am leaning toward 22" barrel threaded for suppressor. I will woke with Mark on the stock and think it is good that he makes the stocks for his rifles.
I am not asking the "which action is better question." I would like to use a Stiller, but am not sure they are quite durable enough for these types of completions.
