What's up Hide members, just wanted to share a short video I made shooting the 1 mile shot with a savage 110 BA 338 Lapua. Hope you enjoy the video!

The energy at 1 mile works out to about or just under the energy from an ak 47 at the muzzle. Glad you enjoyed the video!

Nice shooting and find the misses is about like finding arrow heads good job! Not trying to high jack but just out of curiosity could you hear that steel at a mile? I wouldn't think so but I'm building a target pretty close to your style and was wondering. I will be using it at 500-1000 yards. Maybe further if I can get the 1000 down I have the the room to shoot at least a mile out in west texas mountains!

I heard my hit at a mile with a 300 wm but it was only a 5mph wind too

Just barely, this day I wasn't able to hear the ring but on another day when I was shooting it was dead quiet and you could hear the ding about 5 seconds after impact, crazy!

i own one in 300wm with more than 1000 rounds down the pipe and have had no problems at all. still shooting one hole groups at 100yds with good hand loads and its always a good time stretching it out.

Great shooting. Hope I can get to that point one day! Only been shooting LR for one year and still have a lot to learn and need more practice under my belt. 1000 yards is still pretty challenging to me. Thanks for the video.
