Howdy folks. I'm brand new to precision shooting and I just bought my first bolt gun, a Savage 10 PC in .308. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the forum as I move past the first step and I promise not to post "Which scope should I get?" as my first post. Seeing how this is my first post I guess I'm covered. I'm based in Arlington, VA so there are no close places to go shoot a rifle but hopefully I'll get some range time soon. I appreciate your patience as I learn more about the sport.

We have an NRA sanctioned 1000 yd match Fri and Across the course matches Sat and Sun.It's the most heartwarming match ever shot. It's called the Eastern Armed Forces Memorial Match (Remembering the Brave) go to there website and get background.Proceeds go to the Goldstar famalies.Even if you can't shoot the match come out for the award ceremonies Sun afternoon.Be prepared for moist eye allergies while listening to the presentations.
