According to Krieger's website, wait times are indefinite for AR-10/DPMS-LR barrels. I ordered mine a couple weeks after all this bullshit started happening in the industry (January 2013). Has anyone ordered an AR 308 barrel from them around this time and received it yet? I'm getting ancy, but I have a feeling I have a while yet until I see the damn thing.

Their problem as I understand it is two-fold...One - getting the barrel extensions that they need to build the barrels in the first place (delivery times from the various sources from DPMS to many others are more or less "who the hell knows when" as the mfgs are using the extensions for their own rifles, etc., and I know people who've been waiting on Armalite barrel extensions for nearly a year...well before the current craze); Two - the sheer volume of orders that Krieger has received and were already committed to prior to the current craze has basically put them in a position that they can't (and WON'T) give any sort of a timeline for barrels.

Given that you got your order in fairly early...you may be in a somewhat better position than others who didn't order until the last month or so, but I'm betting you'll still be at least 8-9mos out..

Let's hope that's the case. Thanks for the info!

Not a 308, but I ordered a 223 Wylde back in the beginning of April, iirc. About 3 weeks ago they emailed me that they needed my bolt for head spacing. Said it would be 4-6 weeks after the bolt was received.
