Just took delivery of a new rig from R&D Precision---and I am happier than can be. Rifle has seen the range and a little bit of "field time" out in the rain even........

Rifle Specs:
6.5 Creedmoore
24 (from lug) bartlien barrel, medium palma, 1:8 twist
Randy's Brake
Trued 700
Holland Oversized Lug
Badger BM
70's vintage 40x trigger
Right now scope is a Zeiss 6-20..........new glass pending!

Randy's work is second to none and the rifle is bedded beautifully, the metalwork is flawless and function is like greased snot on lubed rails.

I have about 1200 rounds of factory ammo to "make brass" with and then it will be time to learn how to reload---maybe there will be components by then!

I haven't really worked up groups yet.....but here's one from sighting in the scope that I think shows the rifle's potential---assuming I can get my funky trigger control controlled
215 yards off of benched bipod/sand sock with horrible mirage  Hornady 140 Amax factory loads:

I went with the 6.5x47, and I personally won't build another 6.5 for anything. The 243 WCF is where it is at. Cheaper everything, better brass (RWS), more bullets, burns barrels quicker but only wannabes who never burn out a barrel bitch about a caliber being hard on barrels.
