Needs some help, ai 2.0

I have a Remington 5r 308 on a ai 2.0 and the 5rd mag wont lock in. I bought another mag and same thing. Any advise would be appreciated.

Is the chassis a new one? Is the mag hitting the bolt? If used, did someone have it bedded and then have the bedding removed along with some of the chassis material? If everything looks right, I'd look into shortening the mag latch.

Had a similar problem with a chassis project. Turned out the mag hit the action before the catch engaged. hdbiker1 is right, however i filed a little material off the magazine detent on the mags I use, since they seemed easily replaceable if screwed up (compared to the mag catch as the chassis part).

Thanks for the help, I am going to try and shave the detent and see if that works.
