Question on the 53gr V-Max...

I have a Savage 22-250 with a factory barrel (1:12tw). I'm trying to plan out some loads to test and I am curious what people are using for jump/jam values for this bullet? I do understand that I will have to test the range for myself, but since we are broiling out here I figured some planning would keep me entertained. Thanks!

I'd start at the lands and work back or mag length.

Good idea to find your rifle's maximum charge weight with the bullet in the lands. From there the OCW method works to find the optimum charge. Finally try different seating depths. Lots of very good information in the stickys.

You may never reach the lands in a factory rifle. Start at mag length and tune from there.
