Tula Large Rifle Magnum primers are the only primers I can find locally. Anyone using these for .338 Lapua Magnum? How do they compare with other primers?

Bhart, last week I loaded up 600 rounds of .223. I used BR4s, Tula SRP, Tula SRPM, Wolf SRP, Wolf SRPM and Wolf Small Pistol Primers.

I tested 10 of each, and I think the ES was no more than 30fps. That's over 6 different kinds of primers. All loaded up on a 1050. I'd just load 100, then grab another primer tube and go to down.

I doubt you're going to have an issue with them. I know .223 and .338 are a lot different, but i bet if you shot all these .223 in the same mag you'd still get a good group. I loaded up 30 of them mixed, put them on a 16 inch AR and with an ACOG hit 30 for 30, quickly I might add, at 400 yards.

i used them for a load workup a few months ago when that's all I could fine....es was 8fps for 6 shots, they all went bang, and good accuracy

I don't know how much the primers play into that, but they all went bang lol

I use them(Tula LRM) for all my rifles except the .338LM. I tried them and had hang-fires. They seem to have the same spark as F210M's and CCIBR2's. I stick with F215MM and Remington 9 1/2M's for the LM.
