I went to the range to shoot some loads though my rem 700 aac build. Anything that can come from these groups, or should I start over again?

168gr Sierra MK
Win LR primer
New Win brass
Varget

Im starting to wonder if Its just me, and I suck at shooting.

Did you follow the instructions and wait 2-minutes between shots? And shoot round robin style? Your shots are all over the place and are difficult to interpret.

Quote from the OCW instructions:

"19. The OCW load development plan works best with rifles and shooters that are actually capable of MOA accuracy. If your rifle has not shown a propensity for reasonable accuracy, you may want to have it corrected before wasting time and material with additional load developement. If you are not confident that you are at a level where you can shoot consistent MOA groups, you may want to hold off on intricate load development until your skills are better honed. Lots of practice with a scoped .22 LR is invaluable..."

If you seriously have doubts of your ability as a shooter, have a known good shooter try your rifle. I would pull the scope and start with checking the base screws, then reassemble using proper torque specs. Also check your action screws. If the scope is not known to be good replace it with one that is. Repeat test. Its also a good idea to get an accuracy baseline using factory ammo preferably fgmm.

Im sure your shooting is fine, you just handicapped yourself with the wrong components. Throw that varget shit out and get some 2000MR and load upwards of 48grs. seat those MKs at 2.810" oal and go shooting.

I normally will have a known sample to shoot while testing, a control group. If you have some match ammo, take that along and shoot it along with the reloads. That way you have a known to rule out mechanical issues and hopefully verify the human ones.

The other issue is, your charge weight steps are too large. You are around 1.2% increments. And since the difference between an accuracy node and a scatter node is 1.5%, you might be skipping over the charge you want.

I did an Excel spreadsheet to calculate the charge weight increments as per the OCW method (0.7 - 1%). You can find it here:

http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-reloading/193057-ocw-excel-template.html

And then follow the other guidance given, round robin, 2 minutes (or more in hot weather) between shots.

Once you find the accuracy node WRT powder charge, then work on bullet seating depth.
