There are a few vortex on here in the $900 range

This will be going on a tikka t3 tactical. I just want the best bang for my buck I'm not apposed to a used scope.

will be shooting every thing from 50 - 1,000 yards with it all suggestions welcomed

Not knowing the type of shooting or features you want other then bang for buck and 50-1000 I can suggest two. Having had many scopes from the $1000 range up to the $2500 range the two best buys I have had in the $1000 range have been a used SS 5-20x50 and a new PST 4-16x50. Almost in the same quality vs. features range was the Weaver Tactical but it would not hold up to hard field use, but I think it would make a good range scope. Between the two I like the SS a fair bit better, but the PST is a very nice scope for the money as well.

I would look for a used NF NXS 3-15 round here on the hide. You will see em every now and then. SWFA SS's are alright but I would go NF if you got the money. Do you have to have FFP? You might prefer SFP and can save some money on that.

because that's what I am familiar with.

Over the years I have owned a few scopes and used many different kinds. I have never been overly serious about my glass as I have not shot over 300 yards till recently. I have owned. Tasco(crap), Nikon(nice), simmons(good for .22), zeiss(clear glass), Bushnell(nice), and apex tactical (hated the field of view and eye relief).. all of them were MOA so that just what I am familiar with.

Now that I am stretching out my range I'm understanding the need for a higher end scope. I would love to buy a Hensoldt, USO, S&B, or any other high end scope but I'm not ready to spend 3k yet
