Hi guys
Will receive a new TRG 42 .338LM 1-10 twist next week; only powders I found so far are Winchester Supreme 780 (8lbs) and Ramshot Magnum (8lbs).
Brass is Lapua
Primers CCI 250
Bullets, for now I have 300 gr Lapua Scenar.
Most .338 LM shooters use other powders such as Retumbo, H1000, N570, RL22,25,33, etc...but I could not find any yet. Nevertheless, I have heard of shooters displaying good results with WS 780 and Ramshot Magnum.
Anyone with info/loads/results with these powders and up to what distances?
I appreciate your help.
Good shooting to all.

Considering how hard it is for most of us to find H1000 or Retumbo, someone else must have tried WS780 or Ramshot Magnum in a 338LM; if not, I will post some of the results.
Not too long ago, I was looking for substitute powders for Varget (in .308 and 7.62x54r) and found a few working very well, I may get lucky with .338LM, hopefully.

Keep your eyes open to Grafs & Sons and Powder Valley. You just missed a good opportunity for RL33 at Grafs.
I have loads for H1000 and VvN570. Soon I will have one for RL33. If you get these powders drop me a line and I will give you a detailed recipe. I also drive a TRG-42.

Enough Said
Appreciate the help; so far no luck with H1000 or VVN570 but I can get some RL33 (if I move fast). Is it too early for you to recommend it? Your TRG 42 is 1-12 or 1-10 twist?

With availability and competition in the market being what it is, it's gonna be a winner. It was exclusively designed for .338LM.

Mine likes 300gr SMKs.

How temperature sensitive is RL 33? My shooting conditions vary up to 80 degrees, from freezing to ohmygodwhydidwedriveouttothedeserttoday. Really don't want separate summer/winter loads. My 1x12 twist TRG42 load is 250s with Retumbo now.
