Just bought my second AI AE MK III. Would like to mount glass via a SPUHR mount. Does anyone know if they are gonna manufacture a mount that bolts directly on this gun? I had to get a pic mount from USO last time to mount a SPUHR on my AI AE MK II. Would prefer to mount directly to a receiver, than on a Pic mount.

Thanks:

Ron

I have another SPUHR mount question.
Quote from SPUHR mount description, " Rings are grooved inside to get a better grip of the scope and enabling gluing of the scope."
Are scopes marked in any way using this mount?
Thanks, RJN

No it will not mark the scope. The grooves are wide so they do not dig into the finish. SPUHR mounts are a machining work of art, I have not seen anything better. GDI prom mounts are real nice also, but I still went with a SPUHR.

cramey,Thanks for the info.
I'm considering the Razor/SPUHR deal from MileH. My .260 M700 is set up w/ a Badger 20MOA so I'm looking at the SPUHR SP-4001 - 34mm Picatinny Mount 0MIL/0MOA - 1.18".
Is the 1.18" height GTG for the Razor 5-20X50mm? Thanks, RJN

The mount is very solid and surprisingly light weight. I followed the instructions and used Brownells rosin powder on the rings where they contact the scope.
Cluster, I just looked up the rosin on Brownells site. Non-marring and anti-slip agent. Probably a good idea for any scope ring assembly. Have you used this in the past w/ other setups? Thanks, RJN

It's used in barrel vices but I've never used it for a scope mount before. Be careful not to get that shit on/in the scope! It is a very fine powder.
