Anyone have any experience with the Leupold RX1000 TBR with DNA range finder? They seem like a good product and they do make good scopes. I have a hard time swallowing the $800.00 price tag and the Vectronix R/F's are way beyond what I need. I do however need or would prefer a R/F that gets out to a grand. Thanks for the responses.

they f...in suck I have a older model it will not read in bright sun light in other conditions you'll be lucky to hit 500 yrds. if money is tight I suggest bushnell 1600. otherwise Vectronix Terrapin

I second what tacguns said. Have used a couple different Leupold range finders, the last was a RX1000i. 500 is the realistic max I could get on most objects, with 450 the longest I was ever able to get on a deer. Ranging steel painted targets at Tiger Valley I wasn't able to get anything past about 400 while the guys next to me with bushnells were hitting everything out past 800 with ease. I would definitely look at another option.

FWIW, I sold my Leupold range finder when I sold my SPR (concept). It was good for .223 ranges, but not .308. I'm replacing it with a Bushy 1600 and buying it from Liberty Optics.

Don't forget Leica. I have the 1,000yd model and have gotten readings well past that. It' is very reliable and accurate.
