Suppressors xcaliber genesis micro 22 suppressor

I finally got this in today and had the opportunity to try it along with a few other 22 cans. I had not heard of this company before so I wanted to try one out. Xcaliber firearms also done the threading on the Beretta Bobcat. The work is top notch on both the suppressor and the Beretta. The suppressor even comes with the tools to take it apart along with a pouch and a small bottle of gel to fire it wet.

I also have a Tactical Solutions Cascade Ti and AAC Prodigy to compare it against. I fired these cans on the Beretta Bobcat and a Ruger Mark II with paclite barrel. Ammo was Remington golden bullet, remington target, and CCI standard velocity.

I was very impressed with this little suppressor. To the ear, I cannot tell much difference between any of the 3 suppressors on the Beretta. Id love to have a sound level meter, but I dont. There is no first round pop with the micro. And thats shooting the micro dry. I also tried this suppressor wet and the sound didnt change with the ammo that Im using. They recommend using Mini Mags with the micro firing wet, but i didnt have any to try. The baffles in the micro are very similar to the larger AAC TiRant baffle design.

Using the Ruger Mark II, the Remington golden bullets have enough velocity to go supersonic so you get the crack. The Beretta has a small enough barrel to keep them subsonic. They stayed around 910 FPS. Xcaliber claims that the mini mags will come out around 900 fPS with this combo, but ill have to get some to try out before I believe it.

Overall, I am very happy with this suppressor. If you are looking for something different, Id recommend it. One thing that Id like to add is the fact that you cannot use the sights on the Bobcat with a suppressor.

There is a big difference in the first shot pop, but Im not sure if that first round pop is worth $299!!

Yeah, I sell the crap out of them. Everyone who has heard a demo with the EI Echo, AAC Element2, etc, regardless of host, has chosen the XCaliber Genesis SS. No FRP. Takes down easily. Clean design. Useful knurling on rear cap/mount. No QC issues. What's not to love?

I also have the bobcat and micro combo. That is a lot quieter than one expects. Any ammo is sub, because of the silly short Beretta barrel. And you can use it wet for that little extra quiet.

I have had one since they first came out. Quietest can I own. John did a really good job, and the baffle upgrade program is a great deal for those who have something else.

Sweet! Thanks for the info. How about comparing the Micro to the Al Genesis and to the SS Genesis? And what do you think about adding a SS blast baffle to the Micro. Makes sense to me to gain durability with just a slight weight penalty.

I have a stainless YHM Mite with the stainless recore done, it is on the heavy side but you hardly notice it when you shoot.

Xcaliber was started by John Titsworth from silencer research. He has been in the suppressor testing/research game for quite awhile maybe ~10 years. I visited him once in 2008 and he metered some cans we had at that time. Really nice guy and knows what he's doing to make a suppressor quiet.
