Title says it all really. I finally got to shoot out past 100 yards a few weeks ago and I was canting my rifle pretty badly (one of the gents out there stood behind me to help me tell when I was doing it). Bought the Vortex anti-cant bubble level and it comes in direct contact with my rail. Should I be worried about damaging my rail or scope? I'm slightly worried it will put pressure on the scope when firing. I don't care at all about the bubble level. I'm not sure why they made the thing so beefy...

Edit: Just in case anybody is wondering, the rings are 30mm low Seekins rings.

Yeah, I wouldn't run it touching the base. You say you don't care about it, grind some clearance into it, paint it, it's all good....

Unfortunately, I don't have anything to really grind it with. Really unfortunate they decided to make it so damn thick...

Scratch that. Got a friend with a mill who will take a few thou off :D
