SBR's in Michigan possibly

That would be great!

But truth be told I wish they would move the bill out of committee so we in the south could use handgun cartridges in rifles during the firearm deer season... it’s been passed over to committee now two or three years in a row.

no doubt about it, I have called them several times, I would love to deer hunt with a 450 bushmaster

Was down in Florida a few months back and stopped in at SRT supply. Handled a KAC SR-15 SBR....Oh YEA!!!! I want one.
The current law is very stupid.....like most gun laws. Maybe we will get lucky and get it changed.

I know about the stamp but where are you getting your trust written up for free?..

you can do them yourself for free if you're comfortable doing that, they're not hard to do really. I paid an attorney that specialises in them to handle mine, wasn't that much....few hundred maybe. It's worth it for me in the long run......instead of waiting 6-8 months to buy a can I can get one in about 5-6 months. Can leagally own full auto and other NFA weapons. nice thing with the trust is that anyone listed on it can use any of the items leagally.

Care to explain how you get a can in 5-6 weeks? I have mine in a trust and it takes just as long as it does if you were transferring it as an individual.

oh shit, that's a typo. 5-6 months. The first time I ever bought a can it took almost a year. After My trust I purchased 2 and they both came in about half that time. The form 1 that I filed for my build came back in about 3-4 months which is about half the normal time as well.

Update - SB 610 has passed the Senate. Still a ways to go, but progress is progress.

Anyone care to begin speculation on how the process will work? Can I assume it will follow the usual ATF Form 4, and a $200 tax stamp? Also, anyone know if we can register existing AR-15 lowers as SBRs, or do we need to start by buying another one through a class III dealer?
