Rifle Scopes Steiner 3-12x50 or 3-12x56 for GAP-10?

Anyone have experience with a 56mm obj on a GAP-10? I found a stupid deal on both. Trying to pick which which one to get is driving me nuts. Ha.

I havent run a steiner but a 56 and 50 mil NF on gap10. If your using the included badger ord. mount it doesn't matter as the height over bore is the same and both should have clearance over the rail.

The difference in weight is negligible . Get which one you want

I can't make that decision for you. It's only ounces...

I personally would go with a 42-44 mil mounted low. You don't have to run the prs to get proper cheek weld. But its just a preference.

Yes you should. I'm mighty impressed with my Steiners.

A bigger objective may have some better light gathering properties. So if you don't plan on any dusk/dawn shooting/hunting you may as well go with the smaller objective.
It will save a little weight and you may be able to achieve lower scope over bore height with lower (lighter) rings.

Given the negligible size and weight difference I'd get the 56.

Couldn't find the 56 in stock anywhere.
EuroOptic has demo 3-12x50 (5312) units for $1299 right now. New units for $1399.
Blown away by the price. I should have it next week.

I have a 5-25x56 pmll on mine and love it. I would go at least 20x on the top end though.
