Sorry if this had been covered but I can't find any recent conversations on this topic. As the title says I am looking for the best (durable/repeatable) quick detach scope mount with about 1.5" tall. I am looking at bobro, larue or ???
What makes the GDI so expensive? I have quite a few very solid mounts that are no where near that price. Bobro, American defense and Near Manu, none of them come close to the price of the GDI.
I suppose it's R&D costs? I have no idea. If they were in the low $300 territory most of my mounts would be GDI. At the current price most of my mounts are Bobro and I'm just fine with that. They've never failed to return to zero but I'm only a half Moa shooter on a really good day. Generally I shoot closer to 3/4 Moa. Not a Benchrest guy so I could not attest to GDIs .2 Moa return to zero guarantee.
